Happy Belated Christmas everyone!
I hope you all had wonderful holiday filled with memories, family, and lots of love.
This year I was blessed and got a lot of beauty products (YAY!) that I would love to do reviews on for you guys.
I haven't really had the chance to use them that much lately, but keep your eyes out in the next few weeks!
Would you be interested in reading those? Or would you rather see something else? Let me know in the comments.
much love,

holiday outfit inspo .
Although I've already seen a lot of these types of posts but I figured I'd try it out myself. So here goes:
holiday outfit #1 |
I've seen a lot of red, black, and gold trending this winter. I love the combination myself, but for those of you not really into this I made up a few others. The next features silver instead of gold and more of a berry color for the accessories.

And for those of you who like a little color:
holiday outfit #3
The last one I wanted to be a little more relaxed (not in the shoe departement, obviously. Haha!) with the jeans look.

gifts for everyone - dad
Here are some of the gift ideas I thought up for all those Dads out there. They are probably the hardest to buy for in my opinion.
Which of these things would you be most likely to buy for your Dad? Any other gift ideas?
Next up, your sisters!

gifts for everyone intro -
So guys, I was just thinking that I don't post as often as a "blogger" should and I was trying to brainstorm on something I could write about. What I thought up was this: Y'know in those magazines how there are two or three pages devoted to finding/buying gifts for certain poeple in your family? For example...

meela's musings on...anxiety •
Earlier tonight I was reading my devotional, Breakfast with Jesus by Greg Laurie, and I came across a chapter titled "The Worst Sin You Can Commit". Toward the end of the chapter there was one line that stuck out to me, that really didn't have a whole lot to do with the subject of the chapter. It read "Why not let him do what He really desires to do? Why not come to Jesus?" And then it hit me. All He wants for His children is to take care of them and hold them. To make sure they are safe in his arms.
For me personally, it's hard to let someone else take control. I never wanted to be seen as a "control freak" but I guess you could call me that. If I don't have a hold on something or I'm not positive about a plan I have, or the outcome of certain events I get major anxiety. this feeling is always there and if I'm not anxious or worrisome about one thing, I am about another. It's this never ending circle. What I need to learn from all of this is that all God wants to do is take care of me, His daughter. I need to learn to literally:
Do any of you guys struggle with these things?

December's here!
Do you feel that? The chill of Winter air? It's all coming so quickly. The Christmas rush, the wrapping (and buying) of presents, the warm winter sweaters, putting up the tree, and other Christmas traditions.
My wishlist this years is pretty long (when is it not haha!). With all the new sites I have been finding through other blogs (see my recommended blogs, they're awesome!) I have been going crazy finding all this stuff online that I would love to see under the Christmas tree.
As much as I love to look and shop for these things, I think we all need to remember is how this all started. Isaiah 9:6- "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." This Christmas just try to take the time to remember that this holiday is about our Savior, who grew older and took every sin off your own back and onto His, forever forgiven.
